- Frequently Asked Questions
If you have asked three companies in Lahore what a website costs, you have three answers between PKR 20,000 and PKR 300,000 and no idea which one is honest. All three can be. The word "website" is doing too much work: it describes a five page brochure and a booking system with equal ease.
Every figure below was published by the named company on its own website and read in September 2026. Nothing here is estimated, averaged or rounded into a tidy number, and where the sources contradict each other we have left the contradiction in, because that gap is the most useful thing on this page.
The Build Price Is Only Half the Bill
This goes first because it is the part that catches people, and no rate card puts it on the front page.
A website is a one-off build plus a yearly running cost. The build is the quote you are given. The running cost is the domain, the hosting, the SSL certificate and whatever it takes to keep the thing patched and backed up, and it arrives every year for as long as the site is live.
On the published numbers, a small business site built for PKR 30,000 carries somewhere between PKR 10,000 and PKR 50,000 of running cost in its first full year, depending entirely on whether anyone is paid to maintain it. Over three years the running cost is frequently larger than the build. Almost nobody is quoted this at the start.
"What will this site cost me in year two, with nothing new added?" A company that can answer in one line has thought about it. A company that goes quiet has not.
What a Website Costs to Build in Pakistan
One-off build prices, as published. Ranges rather than single numbers, because that is how they are written.
| Type of build | Published price (PKR, one-off) | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Landing page / one-page site | 10,000 to 40,000 | IDT Pakistan |
| Landing page / portfolio site | 15,000 to 50,000 | t-techsolutions (Apr 2026) |
| Static one-page site, fixed package, includes 1 year domain and hosting | 11,999 | FirstIdeaWeb |
| Basic 3-page static site | 10,000 to 25,000 | Progriso (Feb 2026) |
| Simple 4 to 5 page site | 20,000 to 35,000 | creativeON |
| Basic package, up to 5 pages, 1 revision, 2 weeks | 25,000 to 45,000 | Magric Solutions |
| Templated 4 to 6 page site | from 25,000 | Propellex (Feb 2026) |
| Basic 3 to 5 page static site | 15,000 to 80,000 | GoDaddy Resources Asia (Dec 2025) |
| Business package, up to 15 pages, 3 to 4 weeks | 55,000 to 120,000 | Magric Solutions |
| Corporate website | 50,000 to 120,000 | WeboCreators |
| Advanced business website, 5 to 10 weeks | 150,000 to 350,000 | Progriso (Feb 2026) |
| Corporate website | 150,000 to 400,000 | IDT Pakistan |
| Corporate website | 200,000 to 600,000 | t-techsolutions (Apr 2026) |
| Custom web application | 150,000 to 1,000,000+ | WeboCreators |
| Custom web application / SaaS, 3 to 6 months | 800,000 to 5,000,000+ | Emporionsoft (Jun 2026) |
Two of these look wrong next to the rest, and both are worth understanding. FirstIdeaWeb sells a fixed 15-page dynamic site with content provided for PKR 24,999, which is below several companies' price for five pages. Fixed packages are cheap because the scope is fixed: you take the layout you are given. A quote that is genuinely built around your business will not sit at that number.
If what you need is one page that has to convert rather than a site that has to describe you, that is a different job with a different price. We have written separately about what a landing page has to do to earn its keep.
WordPress, Coded or Shopify: the Platform Sets the Price
Page count is the number clients ask about. Platform is the number that actually moves the quote.
| Approach | Published price (PKR) | Source |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress, theme-based | 20,000 to 40,000 | Magric Solutions |
| WordPress, basic | 20,000 to 60,000 | t-techsolutions (Apr 2026) |
| WordPress with themes | 20,000 to 60,000 | fDigiMedia (Apr 2025) |
| WordPress, custom build | 50,000 to 90,000 | Magric Solutions |
| WordPress, custom theme | 80,000 to 350,000 | t-techsolutions (Apr 2026) |
| Custom WordPress or Magento | 150,000+ | fDigiMedia (Apr 2025) |
| Laravel build, baseline | 120,000 | WeboCreators |
| Custom React build, baseline | 150,000 | WeboCreators |
The pattern is consistent across sources: a theme-based WordPress site starts around PKR 20,000, and the moment the work becomes custom the floor jumps to roughly PKR 80,000 to PKR 150,000. That is a six to seven times step, and it is the single biggest fork in any Pakistani website quote.
Neither is the right answer by default. A theme is the correct choice for a business that needs to look credible and be found. Custom starts to make sense when the site has to do something — a booking flow, a calculator, a portal, an integration with software you already run.
Ecommerce, Where the Quotes Disagree Most
Every category on this page has a spread. Ecommerce has a disagreement.
| What you get | Published price (PKR) | Source |
|---|---|---|
| WooCommerce store, first 10 products, single currency, 1 year domain and hosting | 39,999 | FirstIdeaWeb |
| Basic WooCommerce, up to 50 products | 60,000 to 100,000 | Magric Solutions |
| Ecommerce site, 3 to 8 weeks | 80,000 to 500,000+ | WeboCreators |
| Multi-vendor store, first 100 products | 84,999 | FirstIdeaWeb |
| Ecommerce store, 8 to 14 weeks | 250,000 to 600,000 | Progriso (Feb 2026) |
| Multi-vendor store, first 300 products, 5 payment gateways | 199,999 | FirstIdeaWeb |
| Ecommerce website | 200,000 to 1,000,000+ | SoftCrust |
Read those first and last rows again. One Pakistani company sells a working online store for PKR 39,999. Another says an online store starts at PKR 200,000. Both were published in the same market in the same period, and neither is lying.
The gap is product count, payment gateways and whether anyone is designing anything. Ten products on a stock theme with one payment method is a genuinely small job. Three hundred products, five gateways, courier integration and a design somebody actually drew is not the same purchase, and the number reflects it.
How many products, how many payment methods, and does the design already exist. Answer those three before you ask anyone for a price, and the quotes you get back will finally be comparable.
One 2026 Pakistani breakdown prices the first year by platform instead of by build: roughly PKR 80,000 to 180,000 all-in on WordPress and WooCommerce, PKR 120,000 to 220,000 on Shopify with its plan at about PKR 8,000 a month, and PKR 250,000 to 750,000 for custom development. That is a more honest way to compare, because it counts the subscription.
The Second Bill: Domain, Hosting, SSL, Maintenance
This is the section most Pakistani cost guides skip, and it is the one people search for on its own.
| Yearly item | Published price (PKR) | Source |
|---|---|---|
| .com domain | 1,000 to 1,200 / year | creativeON |
| .com domain | 2,000 to 5,000 / year | fDigiMedia (Apr 2025) |
| .com domain | 3,500 / year | Emporionsoft (Jun 2026) |
| .pk domain (and .com.pk, .net.pk, .org.pk) | 4,499 / year | HosterPK, PKNIC-accredited (from 1 Aug 2026) |
| Shared hosting | 3,000 to 8,000 / year | WoBooks (Apr 2026) |
| Shared hosting | 4,500 to 12,000 / year | Emporionsoft (Jun 2026) |
| SSL certificate | 2,500 to 3,000 / year | creativeON |
| SSL certificate | 2,000 to 15,000 | Progriso (Feb 2026) |
| Maintenance, basic | 1,500 to 10,000 / month | GoDaddy Resources Asia (Dec 2025) |
| Maintenance, WordPress | 5,000 to 10,000 / month | WoBooks (Apr 2026) |
| Maintenance, advanced | 25,000 to 60,000 / month | Progriso (Feb 2026) |
Two things in that table are worth stopping on.
First, a .pk domain costs more than a .com in Pakistan, which surprises almost everybody. A PKNIC-accredited registrar lists .pk at PKR 4,499 a year, raised from PKR 3,899 with effect from 1 August 2026 after a registry price increase. Against a .com at PKR 1,000 to PKR 3,500, the local extension is often two to four times dearer. If you want both, budget for both.
Second, maintenance is quoted from PKR 1,500 a month to PKR 60,000 a month. That is a fortyfold spread for a word nobody defines. At the bottom it usually means somebody renews your hosting. At the top it means monitoring, backups, security patching, plugin updates and a person who answers when the site goes down. Before you accept or reject a maintenance line, make them write down what is in it.
Freelancer, Studio or Agency
One Pakistani rate card is unusually useful because it prices the same job three ways instead of one.
| Same job, three providers | Freelancer | Professional developer | Agency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic 3 to 5 page site | 10,000 to 25,000 | 25,000 to 60,000 | 50,000 to 100,000 |
| WordPress site | 20,000 to 50,000 | 40,000 to 120,000 | 80,000 to 250,000 |
| Custom web application | 80,000 to 200,000 | 150,000 to 500,000 | 300,000 to 1,500,000+ |
Source: PixelFusionX rate card, April 2026.
Freelance hourly rates are published separately at PKR 500 to PKR 1,200 an hour at entry level, PKR 1,200 to PKR 3,000 mid-level, PKR 3,000 to PKR 8,000 senior and above PKR 8,000 for expert work. One source notes rates vary by roughly 15 to 20 percent between Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
The tier is not a quality guarantee in either direction. What it buys reliably is continuity: a freelancer who takes a job is one person, and if that person is unavailable in month seven your site is unavailable too. That risk is worth a number, and each business has to decide what that number is.
How Long It Should Take
| Build | Published timeline | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Static HTML site | 5 to 10 days | Emporionsoft (Jun 2026) |
| Basic 3 page site | 1 to 2 weeks | Progriso (Feb 2026) |
| Basic package, up to 5 pages | 2 weeks | Magric Solutions |
| Business site, up to 15 pages | 3 to 4 weeks | Magric Solutions |
| Corporate website | 2 to 4 weeks | WeboCreators |
| Ecommerce store | 3 to 8 weeks | WeboCreators |
| Ecommerce store | 8 to 14 weeks | Progriso (Feb 2026) |
| Enterprise package | 6 to 10 weeks | Magric Solutions |
| Custom web application | 1 to 6 months | WeboCreators |
Most delays in Pakistani website projects are not technical. They are content: the photos, the text, the product list and the approvals that have to come from your side. If you want a three week build to finish in three weeks, have the content ready on day one.
What the Quote Usually Leaves Out
Four things are routinely priced as separate line items and routinely assumed by the client to be included.
| Usually extra | Published price (PKR) | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Content writing | 30,000 to 150,000 | Progriso (Feb 2026) |
| Professional copywriting | 15,000 to 50,000+ | Softwares.com.pk (Nov 2025) |
| Professional photos and logo | 20,000 to 80,000 | Progriso (Feb 2026) |
| SEO launch | 30,000 to 100,000 | Progriso (Feb 2026) |
Design customisation beyond the agreed layout, advanced features like booking systems and live chat, photography, and training on the CMS are all listed by one Pakistani source as extra or conditional. Hosting and maintenance after the first year are almost always excluded even when the first year is bundled.
And then there is tax. Not one of the fifteen published Pakistani price pages we read for this article states whether its figures include or exclude sales tax. Services are taxable in Pakistan at a rate that depends on the province, so on a PKR 200,000 build the unstated line is not small. Ask for the quote to say "inclusive of all taxes" or "exclusive of sales tax" in writing. It costs nothing to ask and it has settled arguments for our own clients.
Why There Is No Price List on This Page
You will have noticed we have quoted everyone else's prices and not our own. That is deliberate, and it is fairer to explain it than to let you wonder.
A published website package forces every client into the same shape of build. A clinic that needs four pages and a booking form and a distributor that needs a 200-product catalogue with dealer logins do not need the same thing, and pricing them identically means one of them is paying for the other. So we scope first and quote after. It is slower to put on a website and it is the only way we know to be fair about it.
What we can say before any call: we build sites to be found and to convert, not to be admired, which is why our web development work is done alongside the search side rather than handed over and forgotten. If you also want to know what the marketing on top of it costs, we did the same exercise for that market in our guide to digital marketing packages in Pakistan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Fifteen published price pages about Pakistani website costs, read in September 2026: t-techsolutions, WeboCreators, FirstIdeaWeb, IDT Pakistan, Progriso, PixelFusionX, Softwares.com.pk, Magric Solutions, creativeON, Propellex, SoftCrust, fDigiMedia, Emporionsoft, WoBooks and GoDaddy's Asia resource centre. Domain pricing is from HosterPK, a PKNIC-accredited registrar. We have named each source next to its number so you can search and check it yourself.
Three caveats worth carrying with you. Several of these pages carry no date at all, and an undated "starting from" figure is an opening anchor rather than a quote. Fixed packages are cheap because the scope is fixed, so they are not comparable with a scoped build. And prices move: treat this as a map of the market in September 2026, not a price list.
